The MSCAN service scans all your incoming email for known viruses.
Those emails contaminated with a virus are automatically deleted before they reach your mailbox. Now you won't have to worry about whether those emails supposedly from Microsoft containing patches are really from Microsoft (which they aren't) or are just a virus trying to hide itself. Such emails you will no longer see any more if you subscribe to our MSCAN service.
The virus scanning function of the MSCAN service costs $5/month/business account (ie. @yourcompany.com) or $2.50/month/residential account (ie. @apexia.ca, @cois.on.ca).
The MSCAN service will also tag email messages it determines to be SPAM with a header (X-Spam-Status: Yes). You can then setup your email program to automatically move such messages to your Trash folder or create a Spam folder if you want to review what the MSCAN service determines as SPAM. This will save you time when you read your email as you won't be spending time trying to determine whether a particular email message is legitimate or not as all the SPAM will already have been moved to your Trash or Spam folder.
Optionally, for $2.50/month/account (residential or business) you can have the MSCAN service automatically delete email messages determined to be SPAM. You save even more time that way by not having to download the SPAM. This service is also customizable on a per account basis. This means, for example, that if you are a doctor and would like to receive emails with the word "Viagara" in them then we can customize MSCAN to allow you to receive such emails whereas the majority of users would prefer to have such emails automatically deleted.
To subscribe to our MSCAN service it is required of you to complete a sign-up form available on our WEBSITE. It needs to be signed by the person who setup the account so completed forms can be either dropped off (there's a 24hr drop box on side of building) or they can be faxed to 705-726-0399. If you want us to fax you an application form just provide us with your fax number and we'll fax you one.
